After meeting you at the cruise ship terminal, we shall embark on a journey of discovering the true beauty that is Ireland. We take you to explore Ireland’s Garden – County Wicklow. Rivers, streams, hills, mountains and views to remember, it will be clear how Wicklow got its nickname.
Once we meet you at the dock, our tour will start with a scenic drive through the enchanting Wicklow Mountains which will take us into the heart of Co. Wicklow. You will have plenty of time to take in the outstanding beauty of Wicklow that is also called the “Garden of Ireland”, with its enchanting rivers, lakes and streams you will surely see why Ireland is considered one of the most beautiful countries in the world.
We arrive at Glendalough, the valley of two lakes, where after enjoying the splendid natural surroundings we visit the well known monastery founded by St. Kevin that is located in Glendalough. Your guide will make sure to explain the history and legends behind this magical ancient site. One of the legends states that if you wrap your hands around St. Kevin’s Cross and touch your fingers, you shall be married within a year.
We continue our drive through Wicklow Mountains where you might notice a familiar scenery from movie hits such as P.S. I Love You and Braveheart. If your departure time allows it, our guide will show you some of the hidden gems in Wicklow Mountains such as Sally Gap or Lough Dan.
Arriving in Dublin we drive through the city, showing you the highlights such as: O’Connell Street, Liffey River, Ha’Penny Bridge, St. Patrick’s Cathedral, Ha’Penny Bridge, Temple Bar and of course the Guinness Brewery. Depending on your departure time, we might stop for some shopping and more sightseeing.
We shall return to port approx 1,5 hours before departure or if your ship is leaving late in the evening, approx at 6 pm.
